Victor Marbus is an artist, composer, and audio engineer with a focus on the boundaries of musical form and sound. They release solo work under the names Barmus and Martus: Barmus leans into nostalgic textures and pop elements combined with experimental production, while Martus explores a more club-oriented sound. In addition to their own projects, Victor is involved in Europe’s experimental and TINFA* music scenes as an educator and technician.
Victor’s work centres on exploring the limits of sound sources. They believe that extraordinary results occur when instruments are pushed beyond their conventional uses and aesthetics. Investigating this realm is their consistent starting point for illuminating the sonic world and digital audio.
